NCS 30® ECF

DESCRIPTION

Ospar Commission-HOCNF (Harmonized Offshore Chemical Notification Format) CLASSIFICATION: "Yellow" rating for Norway CLASSIFICATION: "E" for the United Kingdom & the Netherlands Nonmetallic compound containing chemically inert fibers. Extreme pressure and anti-wear additives and withstands invert and high pH muds. Achieves a substitution warning-free HOCNF rating. Excellent protection against seizing and galling with a consistent rig floor make up. The highly refined, low pour point oil used in the production of our grease ensures brushability at low temperatures as well as the necessary oxidation and thermal stability at high temperatures. Aluminum based greases offer the additional advantage of superior adhesion to wet steel surfaces and resistance to water wash-off.

Applications

Provides positive protection for rotary shouldered connections under severe drilling conditions where the probability of downhole make-up is anticipated.

Seal Guard® ECF

DESCRIPTION

Ospar Commission-HOCNF (Harmonized Offshore Chemical Notification Format) CLASSIFICATION: "Yellow" rating for Norway CLASSIFICATION: "E" for the United Kingdom & the Netherlands The advanced base grease is a carefully selected balance of synthetic and vegetable oils with our Extreme base grease thickener technology coupled with innovative solid lubricants. The result is superior lubrication under high loads with galling resistance equivalent to heavy metal-based compounds in a totally metalfree formulation. The cutting edge technology provides a high affinity to metal surfaces with relatively low added-solids content.

Applications

For use on premium and high-chrome tubing and casing connections. Not recommended for oxygen service.

API Modified®

DESCRIPTION

API-MODIFIED will seal and withstand pressures to 10,000 psi and will not harden or dry. Its lubricating characteristics reduce friction in the makeup of casing and tubing, preventing galling and wear. Maximum thread engagement is ensured, providing optimum leak resistance.

Applications

API-Modified is specially formulated for use on casing, tubing, line pipe, flow lines, subsurface production tools, and tank batteries. It will lubricate, seal and protect threaded connections of oilfield tubular goods on makeup, in service, and in storage. Fill threads root to crest including shoulders and seal areas. It is not recommended for rotary shouldered connections.

Pow´r Kote®

DESCRIPTION

POWER-KOTE exceeds industry performance and environmental standards and is highly recommended for large-diameter drill collars in the most extreme drilling conditions, including geothermal wells, high angle holes, extended reach, sidetrack reentry, and horizontal drilling applications. A non-metallic, environmentally acceptable drill collar and tool joint compound. Prevents excessive circumferential make-up and assures shoulder faces mate completely without stand-off or deformation.

Applications

For extreme-service where high speed and penetration rates are present, deviated holes or directional drilling is incurred. Ideally suited for drilling jobs where high pH muds are used as well. Not recommended for oxygen service.

Run-N-Seal®

DESCRIPTION

RUN-N-SEAL contains a large volume of solids enhanced by a higher concentration of large-sized particles. The improved distribution of particle sizes and volume of solids provides an excellent seal in large and small diameter, non-shouldered threads. The lithium complex grease provides a high melting point, ensures brushability over a wide range of temperatures, and has excellent inherent water resistance. It sticks to wet and oily steel, ensuring the compound will not wash off threads.

Applications

For use on OCTG connections as a replacement for API-Modified. Formulated to exceed the requirement of the API 5CT and API RP 5A3 specifications. Designed and tested for use on 8-Round Buttress threads, not intended for use on shouldered connections. Not recommended for oxygen service.

TF-15®

DESCRIPTION

TF-15 is recommended for all critical tubular components from non-precision, loose and worn threads to high precision threads, particularly those subjected to impact or rough handling upon makeup. Formulated to aid in the make-up of large diameter casing. Provides excellent protection against galling and wear, seals badly worn threads, and greatly increases connection life.

Applications

For extreme high temperature applications above the traditional temperature of 450°F. Ideally suited as an electrical motor bearing grease and for steel mill forging applications. Ideal for plain and anti-friction ball and roller bearings, kiln bearings, crushers, crane ladles, press and hammer guides, high temperature blowers, fans, and oven conveyors. Not recommended for oxygen service.

Z-50®

DESCRIPTION

Z-50 is manufactured with JETLUBE’s unique grease compounded from custom refined, low sulfur oil. All contain special additives to reduce the plating and buildup of metallic zinc encountered with other zinc compounds. The grease base ensures brushability over a wide temperature range, tenacious adherence to all surfaces, resistance to water wash out, and the prevention of rust/ corrosion. The metallic zinc particles and other additives are maintained in uniform suspension throughout the compounds, and Z-50 displace moisture and adhere well to wet tool joint surfaces.

Applications

Designed to provide the maximum protection for tool joint threads and shoulders over a wide variety of conditions. Prevents galling and wear plus ensures consistent rig floor makeup. Not recommended for oxygen service.

Jacking System Grease® ECF

DESCRIPTION

JACKING SYSTEM GREASE ECF contains specially selected solid natural boundary lubricants to provide outstanding galling resistance and lubrication properties. The solid boundary and organic EP additives synergistically combine to produce a superior lubricating film with high-load and low-wear characteristics. OSPAR Commision - HOCNF Classification - "Yellow" Rating for Norway Classification - "E" for the United Kingdom & the Netherlands This product is formulated to contain no detectable, leachable, volatile organics by EPA Test Method 1311-TCLP number SW846 8260B as determined by independent, 3rd party testing. Testing results are available upon request.

Applications

Designed to lubricate a wide array of heavily loaded gear applications. It can also be used on slides, jacking systems, cantilever type rigs and assemblies, nuts, bolts, and a wide range of other applications - making JACKING SYSTEM GREASE ECF a nearly universal product.

Korr Guard®

DESCRIPTION

Many of the corrosion resistant greases on the market are petroleum base oils thickened with 3% to 9% soap. The soaps are typically lithium, aluminum and anhydrous calcium and the resulting grease is treated with 2-5% rust inhibitor. The rust inhibitor is oil soluble and surface active, wanting to wet out on the steel surface. Over a time, the oil separates and the low additive content depletes. KORR-GUARD actually complexes the rust inhibitor in high quantity as a component in the thickener. The thickener holds the rust inhibitor in place so additive depletion becomes a less significant factor in long term storage.

Applications

Protective grease-like coating to protect equipment and threaded pipe ends against rust and corrosion. Not recommended for use as a thread compound.

Ezy Turn Bodyfill®

DESCRIPTION

Even though EZY-TURN BODY FILL is petroleum based, field service has shown it has excellent ability to remain in the body cavity. Has good metal adhesion and readily flows into hard-to-fill orifices and channels when pumped with a high pressure lubricator.

Applications

Good for close tolerance valves due to metal adhesion and superior flow properties under pressure. Apply the Body-Fill to the entire interworking of the valve to coat and protect the valve body and all exposed parts. This formula will protect new machined parts from corrosion and help in the break-in process of the first cycles of the valves. Will also lubricate and protect all rubber and molded composite parts and seals. Not recommended for use with oxygen or strong oxidizers such as hydrogen peroxide or sulfuric acid.

Alco EP® ECF

DESCRIPTION

ALCO-EP ECF contains polymer additives, further enhancing the inherent water resistance of a calcium complex- based grease. ALCO-EP ECF is extremely resistant to rust and corrosion and is ideally suited for use in high-moisture areas, including subsea applications.

Applications

Specially formulated and developed for subsea or other conditions where extreme water resistance is necessary. Highly developed additive package makes ALCO-EP ECF the premier, multipurpose grease for hostile environments. Ideal for certain RISER, WASH PIPE, and other proprietary connection designs. Not recommended for oxygen service

Jet-Plex-EP®

DESCRIPTION

JET-PLEX-EP has a smooth texture with a heavy body consistency, but provides good pumpability in both hot and cold operating temperatures. It also has excellent resistance to water and water washout problems. Oil separation is minimal even under extreme pressure. Heat cycling produces only a minor change in consistency. JET-PLEX-EP is formulated with special lubricity, anti-wear, and extreme-pressure additives and is fortified with rust, corrosion, and oxidation inhibitors.

Applications

JET-PLEX-EP is recommended for all types of bearing and sliding applications, for shock-loading, pounding, rough chassis usage and high loads. JET-PLEX-EP is the multi-purpose lubricant that can replace several conventionaltype greases, resulting in smaller required inventories and less chance of misapplication. Not recommended for oxygen service.

Moly Mist®

DESCRIPTION

MOLY-MIST lowers friction, prevents galling, seizure, stickslip, fretting, corrosion and metal-to-metal contact; reduces torque and power consumption. Molybdenum Disulphide (MoS2) is a solid, dry-form lubricant with a coefficient of friction of only 0.03. Under sliding pressure, it will bond to ferrous and nonferrous metals, plastics, glass, rubber, wood, etc. It has high chemical and thermal stability; is inert to water, oil, alkalis, many acids and solvents.

Applications

As a surface prep moly based spray for reducing torque on assemblies requiring a dry film lubricant in place of an anti-seize or grease lubricant. Quick penetrating fluid, dries quickly leaving behind the micro sized moly particles working as a dissimilar material to aid in assembly or disassembly. Not recommended for oxygen service.

Thread Lok II®

DESCRIPTION

Specifically for use on all threaded joints or fasteners where an exceptionally strong and durable bond is required. The catalyst is emptied into the can containing the base epoxy resin, where the two are thoroughly mixed. The applicator is used to completely cover the male threads with the mixture and the joint is then coupled. Complete cure occurs in 24 hours. The cure time can be reduced by elevating the temperature up to 250°F (121°C).

Applications

JET-LUBE® JET-LOK II is recommended for use on casing, shoes, couplings, and collars; eliminating the need for gas/ arc welding. Threadlock Kit offers a distinct advantage over welding in that threaded connections may be broken out by heating to 550°F (288°C). This product is also excellent for any application requiring a strong, permanent bond that has high vibration resistance.

Bestolife 3000®

DESCRIPTION

BESTOLIFE 3000® was the first totally non-metallic drilling compound, formulated to address environmental concerns as well as the costs of thread compounds with high percentages of heavy metals. The formulation contains a variety of amorphous and synthetic graphite-based materials that combine to make a gasket-like seal to prevent connection washout even under high internal fluid pressures. The use of premium quality, high temperature based grease enhances its performance.

Applications

APPLICATIONS Non-metallic compound for rotary-shouldered connections.


Bestolife 3010® ULTRA

DESCRIPTION

BESTOLIFE 3010® Ultra is a non-metallic thread compound for rotary-shouldered connections and is effective for jack up systems. Heavy metal free for environmental concerns, the compound excels in low temperature and high temperature environments. 3010® Ultra prevents galling and seizing on even, non-magnetic surfaces, forming a gasket-like seal in a rotary connection for maximum protection in rough conditions.

Applications

Non-metallic compound for rotary-shouldered connections in cold, wet conditions. Recommended for all drilling applications including high temperature environments.
